Membership Policy

Effective Date: This Privacy Policy is effective as of April 1, 2026 and remains in effect until updated or replaced.


Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully. By accessing or using any website, booking platform, class, service, event, or physical space operated by Mama Roots Collective (“Mama Roots,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use our services.



1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS


By registering for membership, booking a service, attending a class or event, or otherwise engaging with Mama Roots Collective, you confirm that:


  • You are at least 18 years old (or have legal guardian consent where applicable)
  • You understand and voluntarily accept these Terms
  • You agree that these Terms apply to all services, including in-person and online offerings



2. NATURE OF SERVICES


Mama Roots Collective provides educational, wellness, bodywork, and holistic support services, which may include but are not limited to:


  • Prenatal and postpartum classes
  • Wellness workshops and group education
  • Massage, bodywork, and related services
  • Community support groups
  • Educational content and resources


We are not a medical provider, hospital, or emergency care facility. Our services are not a substitute for medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. You should always consult a licensed physician or qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns.





3. ASSUMPTION OF RISK



By participating in any service, class, or event, you understand and agree that:


  • Participation in physical, educational, and wellness activities carries inherent risks
  • These risks may include, but are not limited to: physical injury, aggravation of existing conditions, emotional discomfort, or allergic reactions
  • You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation



You agree that Mama Roots Collective is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from participation, except where prohibited by law.





4. LIABILITY WAIVER



To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless Mama Roots Collective, its owners, contractors, instructors, employees, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:


  • Participation in classes, services, or events
  • Use of the facility or equipment
  • Interaction with practitioners, instructors, or other participants



This includes claims arising from negligence, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct where prohibited by law.





5. BOOKINGS, PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS



  • All services must be paid in advance unless otherwise stated
  • Prices are subject to change at any time
  • Cancellations must be made within our stated cancellation window [insert policy]
  • Late cancellations or no-shows may result in full charge of service



We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings at our discretion.





6. MEMBERSHIP TERMS



If you enroll in a membership:


  • Membership is non-transferable
  • Membership benefits are for the named member only
  • We may modify or discontinue membership benefits at any time with notice
  • Recurring memberships will automatically renew unless canceled prior to renewal date






7. CODE OF CONDUCT



To maintain a safe and supportive environment, you agree to:


  • Treat staff, providers, and members with respect
  • Refrain from disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior
  • Follow all facility rules and instructions



We reserve the right to remove or suspend any participant without refund for violating these rules.





8. HEALTH & SAFETY DISCLOSURE



You acknowledge that:


  • You are responsible for informing providers of relevant health conditions
  • You should not participate in services that are contraindicated for your condition
  • Mama Roots Collective does not diagnose or prescribe treatment






9. MEDIA RELEASE (PHOTOS & VIDEO)



By entering Mama Roots Collective or attending any class, event, or session, you acknowledge and agree that:


  • We may take photographs, video, or audio recordings of classes, events, or spaces
  • These may include your likeness, voice, or participation
  • We may use this content for marketing, social media, website, and promotional purposes



If you do not wish to be included in media, you must notify us in writing prior to participation.


We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee exclusion in group settings.





10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY



All content provided by Mama Roots Collective (including materials, handouts, videos, branding, and curriculum) is owned by Mama Roots Collective and may not be:


  • Reproduced
  • Distributed
  • Shared publicly
  • Used commercially



without written permission.





11. THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS



Mama Roots Collective may host independent contractors, practitioners, or external instructors.


We are not responsible for:


  • Their professional advice
  • Their services or outcomes
  • Any agreements made directly with them outside Mama Roots Collective systems






12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY



To the maximum extent permitted by law:


  • Mama Roots Collective shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for services in the last 3 months






13. PRIVACY



Your use of Mama Roots Collective is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal information.





14. TERMINATION



We may suspend or terminate your access to services at any time for:


  • Violation of these Terms
  • Safety concerns
  • Disruptive behavior
  • Non-payment






15. GOVERNING LAW



These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.





16. CHANGES TO TERMS



We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
