Class Description

Infant CPR Class in San Francisco: This hands-on, non-certification class will help new and expecting parents recognize and respond to the most common medical emergencies for infants. You'll learn how to perform infant CPR and choking response using manikins that provide electronic feedback, so you can practice life-saving skills with real-time guidance. Other topics covered include allergic reactions, seizures, bleeding, burns, falls, and prevention tips to keep your baby safe. This interactive infant CPR and first aid class is taught by Paramedics, EMTs, and RNs — questions are encouraged!


Who this is for:

  • Pregnant or Postpartum Mothers & Partners/Support Person
  • **Recommended to take during third trimester and/or starting solids but all stages are welcome!
  • [Couples Class] - Recommended to take with partner/support person (please reserve a spot PER PERSON attending)

about the Facilitator

  • In Home CPR

    Chris Schlesinger is the owner of In Home CPR and has been instructing American Heart Association and American Red Cross courses since 2008.  He was an EMT and worked in home healthcare for five years. Long ago he was also a comic actor and his roots in theater inform his instructing style — classes that fun, informative and very interactive.


    In Home CPR teaches Infant CPR classes to new parents at CPMC hospital, Natural Resources, Blossom Birth and Family, and Millie Clinic.
